Dot Wallet - KSM & DOT
Terms of Service
Last updated October 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Dot Wallet app for iPhone and iPad (“the app”) and this website. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What Dot Wallet is
Dot Wallet is non-custodial software that lets you create or import wallets and interact with the Polkadot and Kusama networks. We do not hold, control, or have access to your funds, keys, or recovery phrase. We are not a bank, exchange, broker, or financial adviser.
2. Your responsibilities
- Back up your recovery phrase. Write it down and store it offline. It is the only way to restore your wallet.
- Never share your recovery phrase. No one from Dot Wallet will ever ask for it.
- Keep your device secure with a passcode and up-to-date iOS.
- Check addresses, networks, and amounts before you confirm a transaction.
- Comply with the laws and tax obligations that apply to you.
3. Usage guidelines
You agree not to use the app to:
- Break any law, including sanctions, anti-money-laundering, or fraud laws.
- Reverse engineer, tamper with, or interfere with the app or its network connections, except as allowed by law.
- Impersonate Dot Wallet or use our name or mark to mislead others.
- Distribute malware or attempt to harm other users.
4. Transactions and network risk
Blockchain transactions are irreversible. We cannot cancel, reverse, or refund them. Network fees are set by the network, not by us. Polkadot and Kusama are independent networks; they may experience upgrades, outages, forks, or changes outside our control. Displayed prices are estimates from third-party sources and may be inaccurate or delayed.
5. Digital asset risk
Digital assets are volatile and can lose value, including all of their value. Nothing in the app or on this site is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
6. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support.
7. Disclaimer
The app and site are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any lost funds, lost recovery phrases, unauthorized access to your device, network failures, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
9. Changes and termination
We may update the app or these terms at any time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it; make sure your recovery phrase is backed up first.
10. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and legally able to agree to these terms. You may not use the app if you are located in, or a resident of, a sanctioned country or region, or if you are on a sanctions list.
11. Third-party services
The app connects to public nodes, price sources, and networks run by others. We do not control and are not responsible for these services, their availability, or their accuracy.
12. Indemnity
You agree to hold us harmless from claims, losses, and costs arising from your misuse of the app or your breach of these terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where the publisher of the app is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing any claim, please contact us through the support link so we can try to resolve it informally.
14. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the app.
